Having problems keeping my Canon TS7720 installed (OS 15.5)

Is anyone else having a problem keeping their Canon TS7720 printer installed? It's been working fine until today when it just disappeared from "System Settings – Printers and Scanners." This usually happens with an OS update but I've been able to successfully reinstall it via the "Cannon Print" app until today. I've gone to Canon's website for all the latest drivers and firmware, gone through the installation process (USB connection – I don't use wireless) and it seems to install perfectly but at the end of the installation it reverts back to the window that shows "No Printer Available" and does not show in System Settings. I did all the suggested "unplugging," "shutting down" and "restarting" but nothing seems to be working. Thanks for any suggestions. (M3 iMac, OS 15.5)

I did try all the things you mentioned, without success. But the good news is that I figured it out. I removed the USB connection from my USB hub and connected it directly to a port on the back of my iMac (with the appropriate USB to USB-C adapter). Re-installed using the Canon Print app and everything is now back to normal, without using a wireless connection. Hopefully this might be helpful to anyone else having the same issue.

Thanks again for your help.

You're welcome.

Can you better describe what part of setting up and using AirPrint didn't work...?

1) Use the Canon's on-screen menu to connect the printer with your local Wi-Fi Network.

2) Then open System Settings > Printers & Scanners > Add Printer.
