Request for Assistance in Unlocking iPhone Due to Scam Involving My Mother
I am writing on behalf of my mother who has recently fallen victim to a scam involving an iPhone 11 Pro Max. My mother, who is not very familiar with technology, was approached with an offer to purchase the iPhone for 4,000 PHP. Given the extremely low price, she believed it was a great deal and, with good intentions, purchased the phone using her hard-earned money.
Unfortunately, after the payment, the seller handed her the iPhone in a powered-off state and quickly disappeared. When we turned the phone on at home, we discovered that it was locked and displayed a message indicating that it is associated with another Apple ID. This has led us to believe that the device may have been stolen or is otherwise not legitimately transferable.
My mother is now devastated, both emotionally and financially. This was a significant purchase for her, and the situation has been heartbreaking to witness.
We understand and deeply respect Apple’s strict security policies and commitment to user privacy. However, we are reaching out in the hope that you might be able to assist us in any way possible — whether it’s verifying the phone’s status, contacting the original owner, or guiding us on any next steps we can take to recover or responsibly return the device.
We are more than willing to provide any necessary documents, proof of the transaction, or details about the incident.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this and for any help you can extend to us. We truly appreciate the work Apple does in keeping users and their devices secure.
