Try a Forced Restart. This should be done after each and every iOS update to ensure things run smoothly.

• Press and quickly release the Volume Up Button
• Press and quickly release the Volume Down Button
• Press and hold the Side Button until you see the Apple Logo

This can take up to 30 seconds. Keep holding past the Power Off slider. It can take a few tries to get it right.
