Removing my old iPhone and fix bank app not recognizing my new device

I exchanged my 14pro with 16Pro Max at the apple store today. Someone there helped me set it up and transfer everything through the icloud. Now I am experiencing issues with a bank app because it doesn’t recognise the new device. I tried to delete the old iphone from my devices but it seems I cannot for security reasons!!! And the bank app says I need to receive a push notification to the old device which of course I no longer have!!!

The app developer may not have updated their software to ensure compatibility with the iOS version your device is currently running.

If you encounter any challenges with third-party applications, the best course of action is to directly contact the app developer for further assistance. Here's a brief guide on how to do it:

  1. Identify the app developer.
  2. Visit their website or app store listing.
  3. Look for their contact information or support channels.
  4. Clearly describe the issue you are facing.
  5. Provide any necessary information they may need.
  6. Follow their instructions and provide feedback.
  7. Be patient and follow up if needed.

By reaching out to the app developer, you increase your chances of receiving accurate and personalized support for the challenges you're experiencing. To contact an App developer --> How to contact an app developer - Apple Support

When you get a new iOS device and attempt to log into your banking app, the app may prompt you with a security notice stating that continuing will disable access on all previously logged-in devices. Specifically, it will ask whether you’d like to remove the existing configuration tied to your old device and set up a fresh one on the new iPhone or iPad.

If you choose to proceed and confirm this prompt, the app will automatically revoke login access from your old device. Any saved configurations, trusted device status, or biometric setups like Face ID or Touch ID associated with the old phone will be deleted. You will then be guided through a new setup process on your new device, which typically includes verifying your identity, re-enabling security features, and optionally re-registering the device for push notifications or biometric login.

This is a common security practice among banking apps to ensure that only one trusted device can be actively configured for sensitive financial transactions at a time.
