Magsafe charger of macbook air 2017 not charging but appearing green light
So like this happened today to me- my mac is dead theres no way for me to reset SMC (system management control), idk what to do now

If you are referring to an Apple MagSafe charger, a green LED would indicate that the power adapter and Mac are "communicating" properly and it should charge the Mac's battery.
However, it may be possible that there is some form of debris on either the Mac's MagSafe port or the MagSafe plug end of the charging cable. If you have already carefully examined both of these and you are not seeing any debris, the issue may be with the Mac's Logic board ... or, as WheelieNick has eluded to, the Mac's battery itself.
As far as what you can do now, is not much until the battery is replaced or you have an Apple Technician examine your laptop. Either way you should contact Apple Support directly for further assistance with this matter. To do so, simply select the "Support" link on the lower left-hand side of this forum's web page.
