Need help for activation lock when forgot all of apple ID

Hello,

I’m helping my friend with their iPhone, which was recently reset. After the reset, the Activation Lock screen appeared, but my friend doesn’t remember the Apple ID or password used before.

We don’t have access to the original email or account, but we do have the phone’s IMEI number and can provide any necessary proof of ownership. The phone was not stolen, and we’re just trying to use the device again.

Could you please guide us on how to unlock it or remove the Activation Lock?

(don’t know is the IPhone is 12 mini/pro/pro max)

Tell your friend to start here: https://iforgot.apple.com

They will need to regain access to the Apple account used to lock it.

Failing that, they will need to provide Apple with the original proof of purchase from Apple or an authorized retailer.

If they can't do that, it's a brick. There is no way to bypass the activation lock.
