ASUS SDRW-08D2S-U LITE won't be recognized by MacBook macOS Sequola 15.5

Hello,

I am trying to connect this drive to MacBook using Sandstrøm USB-C 3.1.

When there is a cd in the drive the led blinks and shows that it is reading the disc. But in Finder I can´t see the drive (the setting for show cd/DVD in on) and same thing in disc utility.

The hub should have enough of power and I have connected both of the drives USB-A ports to the hub.

Any hints how to solve the issue?

The issues is solved!

I used an external charger to power up the station and connected the other USB-A with a adapter to MacBook.

The station was reconized by the computer and now everything works.

I don't have experience in this area, but sometimes MacOS doesn't show drives that aren't in a format it can understand. Sometimes, it doesn't recognize drives at all. Something similar happened to me with an SD card where my USB-C hub wouldn't read it, and after troubleshooting for a while it suddenly began detecting it even though I didn't change anything
