OSX Search in reminders does not find everything

I have a list in my Reminders of books. When I use the Reminders search function it does not find all the entries. For instance, I search for "Ray" and it finds several entries in several different Lists but it does not find one particular entry.

I have tried removing Events and Reminders from the Spotlight setting, then restarting my Mac, then adding Events and Reminders back and waiting. That did not fix it. I tried modifying the entry slightly, that did not fix it. I added a new entry with similar text and that is found with the search.

I can do the same search on my iPhone and it finds the entry.

My Macbook is on 15.6. I don't know how long this search failure has been happening.

Since you’ve already tried adjusting Spotlight settings, another thing you can try is rebuilding the Spotlight index entirely. You can do this by going to System Settings > Spotlight and dragging your entire hard drive into the Privacy tab, then removing it. This forces Spotlight to re-index everything, including Reminders.
