Can I have 2 different Apple ID's/accounts tied to one Applecare One plan?

I have 4 devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac Mini and Watch) on my Apple ID and my wife has one device (iPhone) on her Apple ID. We have separate Apple accounts (Apple IDs) of course. Can I put all 5 of those devices on a single AppleCare ONE even though they are on 2 separate Apple ID's. We do have both account connected by Apple Family.

Or does each AppleID/account need it's own Applecare ONE account?

tl;dr Not sure how to add my wife's iPhone to MYAppleCare One account since we have separate Apple ID's

"APPLE ONE" is a group of 5 or 6 different Apple Apps, I am referring to the new AppleCARE ONE warranty. :D

AppleCare One plans can cover devices that are on the same Apple Account as the subscriber.”

Officially, per the terms and conditions available at applecareone and for my state (Ohio), you must stay logged into the device with the initial Apple ID to maintain coverage. If you log out of the account and log in with another account, you need to log back in with the original account within 24 hours. In theory, it would be possible to use a different account for Music and the App Store. Whether you trust having the device logged into your Apple ID/Account is up to you.

Interesting conversation I had about this with Apple Support yesterday. Initial rep (working from her home) barely had a clue about AppleCare One. She kept "checking her resources" and replied with the same link you sent me. I then asked to speak with her "supervisor" and after about 15 minute wait she got on the line and her response was basically "it is what is listed in the provided link, BUT (paraphrased) it will work by just logging onto her phone with my Apple ID and adding it then going back to her Apple ID." She obviously didn't want to say, "sure, go for it" but the innuendo was quite obvious.

Not sure I want to take the chance of eventually being kicked out of AC1 as I don't believe I could get back monthly AC+ if her device gets removed and she is a big phone dropper/screen breaker. :-)

Were you able to add your wife's devices? I'm trying to figure out a way to save $ on AppleCare and was hoping to add my kids' (all minors) & husband's phones to my plan. The Coverage Certificate references the Individual Account or the Shared Account throughout it. This makes me think we should be able to add our family's devices. Below is the definition used for a Shared Account.

"Shared Account” means a United States-based account with the Named Insured established by a Primary Account Holder, and maintained by (i) the Primary Account Holder and (ii) a Shared Account Control Person, if any, for a group of Equipment owners or users that are connected by a common relationship such as family, a combined household, or other similar relationships that establish a common affinity among the Equipment owners or users as determined by the Named Insured.

That seems to imply if I take my wife's phone, log into MY Apple account with it, add Applecare ONE then sign out and log her back in it will be covered.

If you sign into her phone, it is no longer her phone, it is yours. If you then sign out and she signs back in, it goes back to being her phone and not under the same account as yours.

Can you point me to something that says that "in writing." I've looked until I was bleary eyed and couldn't find anything and then I "Googled" it and got this:

Yes, devices from multiple Apple IDs can be added to a single AppleCare One plan, provided they are all signed into the same primary Apple ID used to initiate the planaccording to Apple Support. You can manage your AppleCare One devices and add or remove them through Settings > General > AppleCare & Warranty on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

That seems to imply if I take my wife's phone, log into MY Apple account with it, add Applecare ONE then sign out and log her back in it will be covered.
