Recently my battery life on my iPhone 15 has been draining very quickly and the phone has just been shutting off randomly. I will be at 40% and then all of a sudden my phone will shut down and when I open it again and it’s 10%. I bought this phone last year and I haven’t downloaded any third party apps so I’m confused why this is happening. The back glass of the phone is a bit shattered but that’s not anything new.

Make an appointment at the Genius Bar and have it checked. The battery may have been damaged and is now failing. I would not consider it safe to use at this point.

Apple recommends battery replacement when the Maximum Capacity is down to 80%.
Make an appointment at the Apple Store / Genius Bar or take the phone to an authorized Apple service shop to have the battery replaced. About $100 (U.S.)

You are going to have to pay the deductible to have the phone repaired.
The battery or charging circuitry was most likely damaged when you broke the back.
You should have take advantage of AC+ when that happened instead of waiting for it to fail.
The maximum capacity is 79%, the battery health says service and the cycle count is 444.
Tap Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging.
What is the Maximum Capacity of the battery?
How many Charge Cycles has the battery completed?
Thank you for your help. Since I have AppleCare plus I think I can get a free battery replacement. Do you know why this could have happened since the phone isn’t even a year old?
