Grayed-out features on iPhone 14 Pro Max's Stolen Device Protection

I have features grayed out on my iPhone 14 Pro Max that I can't turn on or off. Why can't I access some areas and control my phone?

How to disable Stolen Device Protection on my iPhone before upgrading? Instead of requiring an hour to do anything. Make the person enter the code or Face ID to turn the phone off. Otherwise the hour time limit is a pain. Went to upgrade my phone, and saw that was on. Wasn’t able to update my phone. I kind of understand the meaning behind it. However there’s got to be better ways than locking you out of your phone for an hour. I didn’t even know it was an option. So either change it, or put it all over your website. When you’re trying to upgrade your phone. To turn off SDP before going to the store. Absolutely ridiculous I had to drive there, just to leave. Stolen Device Protection will be grayed out if you don’t have a passcode and Face ID setup, which is required for that feature. What other features are grayed out?
