Unable to reset Apple Account password

I've tried everything to reset my password

I've tried

Going to iforgot.apple.com doing the on-screen steps and waiting for the time to get my text or call to my trusted number

This does not work and I haven't received the Text/Call

Why can't you just verify your Email/Phone and receive the reset link automatically? Why do you have to wait for a text that will never come?

I hope their is some hope

However, I have my data on my new iPhone, so that's good
