Apple Pencil (2nd gen) tip not screwing in and pushing back out

I have an Apple Pencil 2nd Generation which I use for my iPad Air. Unfortunately the tip came off, I tried putting it back on and twisting however it just pushes it back out straight away. I then ordered replacement tips in case the tip was the problem and the exact same thing is happening with the replacement tips. Hence Im assuming theres the problem with the Apple Pencil itself. Does anyone know how to fix it. I'm thinking of going to an Apple Store just to see if they can fix it. Find Image below.

If the new Pencil tip cannot be easily screwed into position, either the Pencil is damaged - or something is obstructing the tip or its screw thread.


Unless you can see and easily remove an obstruction, you would be best advised to visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to offer assistance:
