iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone SE compatibility with Wi-Fi 7 routers

I have and iPhone 15 Pro Max and my wife an iPhone SE.

I'm considering changing our home router to one providing WiFi 7 coverage. If I was to do this would our respective phone be able to utilise the WiFi provided by the new router?

Wi-Fi routers are built with downward (backward) compatibility, so even if your router supports Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be), it can still connect to devices using earlier standards like Wi-Fi 6/6E (802.11ax), Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), or older. The connection will automatically adjust to the maximum speed and capabilities of the older device, meaning you can run a mix of new and old gadgets on the same network without extra equipment—though the older devices won’t benefit from Wi-Fi 7’s advanced speed, latency, or efficiency features.
