Itunes and Outlook/iPhone calendar/contacts sync deprecated Rev 4 ?

Any thoughts on either AkrutoSync  or  CompanionLink as a substitute?

Both sites are kinda vague about what they do,

AkrutoSync very briefly mentions setting up an exchange account?

Cloud-stuff is a non-starter for me ...

I travel to remote areas where there is no internet, or if it exists they are very proud to have a 5mb connction.

Then there's HIPPA compliance, but I won't even start that rant ;-)

I've been traveling and have not had a chance to try and resolve my calendar sync. issue.

Since 26.1 is now out I guess I'll go ahead and upgrade to that before I try again....

Any new news out there on our situation?

Still mired in "life" ;-)

Upgrade not yet complete, but a guy mentioned to me that he was having trouble sync-ing

and somehow claimed that temporarily disabling "Find My" got it running again...

Anybody ever heard that?

OK.... I think the moderators didn't like me double-posting my status in the big

So let me add a pointer....

Life's been a tad crazy...

I've tried a variety of things related to iTunes, and the weirdest part is that I can not figure out

how my old Win10 laptop was EVER able to sync..... as far as I can tell there is no Outlook plug-in installed.

This evening, I UNinstalled my newer version of iTunes and then installed 12.12.1.1

There seemed to be wide agreement that it was un-deprecated.

It too fails to sync, even after taking every precaution I can think of ....

It acts like it is working takes a very long time but in the end does not work.

As soon as I can muster some confidence I think I will try the CompanionLink offering ....

it seems a little convoluted, but less so than the alternatives...

I hope that will happen in the next few days, I'll keep you all posted!

I've been traveling too much lately to try and address this issue permanently...

I'm on the road now, and had a thought:

I still have my old Win10 laptop which did/does sync. successfully.

Both machines have the same (major) versions of Outlook Classic 2024

As a stop-gap could I copy my current PST file from my new W11 machine to the Win10 machine and sync. that way?

Well ... here we are ...

In fairly rapid succession we have gone from iOS 18.6 to 18.6.1 to 18.6.2

I am still at 18.5

Has anybody tried iTunes sync at 18.6.x yet?

now ... 18.6.2 to fix CVE-2025-43300... which sounds pretty serious :-(

Well this morning Apple offered me both iOS 18.7 and iOS 26 ....

Y'all let me know your results if you give either of them a go!

Well ... "without thinking" I just bought an Apple Watch 11 ...

Which requires iOS 26.x

Has anybody tried a sync w/ 26 ?
