Can I change the layout of the apps after i swipe right? They're in these auto-sorted 'boxes', "Suggestions", "Recently Added", "Social", etc. I’d like to change the layout to a list of compact icons and app titles, if possible.

If you are referring to the App Library, no, you can't change how the App Library sorts apps. The App Library is merely a convenience to be able to find an app. But you can put your apps on your home screen and create folders to put them in and name those folders any name you want.
