Some kind of sync error put several hundred songs from my computer library onto my iphone. I would like to remove them without having to manually delete them one at a time. I just want to delete them from the phone, not from the library on my computer.

Sync the iPhone again, and de-select the synced songs from the Songs section in Finder(Mac), or iTunes (PC) or the Devices App (Also PC).
