iPhone's dictation changing first letter from capital to lowercase

I use the native Apple Keyboard and the first letter of every new sentence is capitalized when I use dictation, so I don't think this has anything to do with using non-native keyboards. When you open Settings > General > Keyboard - is Auto Capitalize turned on?
