iPhone 12 not charging despite no hardware failure

Hi All, my phone iphone 12 is not getting charged. Apple store didnt get any hardware failure or something from diagnostic tool. Apple store recommending software refresh or battery replacement as workaround and claimed it as software glitch. I am not facing any backup issue for battery. As a workaround, I am turning off and on phone which fixing battery charging issue so I am not suspecting issue with battery or hardware port. Please share what can be done.

The battery is failing. The iPhone battery in your phone was designed to handle 500 Charge Cycles before it reached 80% Max Cap. You have had amazingly good luck if Charge Cycles are 1000+. In fact, it is remarkable that the battery is even working at all.

I would ask Apple to replace the battery, even though they will not usually do this unless the battery is at 80% or less.

Worst case, you will have to live with things as they are for another month or two before the Max Cap drops under 80%

Thanks for your quick response. It’s showing 81%. One more thing which Apple support guy mentioned that battery cycle counts are approx 1050-1100. I read some apple article as well, if battery health deteriorating than how come the charging process stuck. Either it should not charge irrespective of multiple tries but this is not the case with me.

It works every time if I take 1-2 phone restart.
