How do I get iOS 16 update on my iPhone 7?

There will never be an update to iOS 16 (or later) for the iPhone 7, a phone that originally ran iOS 10, and that lacks the Neural Engine hardware found in every iPhone that can run iOS 16, 17, or 18.

If you need to run something better than iOS 15.*, it is time to purchase a new iPhone.

There is no update to iOS 16 for the iPhone 7, because it is not compatible with iOS 16.

If you want iOS 16, you will need an iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus or iPhone X.

But, it really would make sense to get a phone that will run iOS 18 and iOS 26. An iPhone 15 or iPhone 16 would be recommended.

NOPE. Not possible and will never happen. If you need a phone capable of running a higher level iOS than the maximum your iPhone 7 can support, then it's time for a new iPhone.
