My iPhone won't turn on and keeps showing Apple logo

My iPhone, I think it's a 7 or 8, not sure, will not turn on. I put it on the charger and it turned on and showed it was at 100 so I was like oh that's weird because it was dead in the car. So I put in my passcode and then it restarted and then it kept restarting over and over but it wouldn't actually turn on, just kept showing the white apple logo on the black screen. So I took it off the charger for an hour, and I put it back on and it still keeps showing the apple logo and stopping over and over and its been going on for so long . I tried to force restart it did nothing, I tried it again and it showed the thing it shows when you connect it to a computer, but I cannot do that because my computer is broken and I'm on vacation. I now have it off the charger and its still doing it.

If you have never replaced the battery in your iPhone in all these years, it sounds like a failing battery. iPhone 7 was released in 2016, NINE years ago. No iPhone battery could make it 9 years without needing to be replaced.

Now, the fact is the phone is 9 years old. It's iOS is out of date and can't be updated higher than iOS 15.8.4. It wouldn't be worth investing in a new battery for such an old iPhone at this point.

You can schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar, but honestly, it's time to buy a new iPhone.
