Removing FaceTime from contacts in favorites didn’t work, deleting the contact & reentering did

Removing the contact to terminate the call on FaceTime & re-entering the Info worked not changing the favorites. This was so aggravating! Apple needs to fix this PLEASE! Getting a new phone is hard enough!
