Using an iPhone 16, on iOS 18, my lock screen is using a custom wallpaper.
However, whilst the date, time and widgets show up clearly, the wifi, signal and battery icons are very difficult to read.
Why do those icons not inherit the colour for the rest of the icons on the lock screen? This strikes me as a software issue.

This is classic example of why I don't use wallpapers which appear white at the top of the wallpaper. Do use the feedback link ChrisJ4203 gave you to share your thoughts with Apple.
You did not do anything wrong. This forum is hosted by Apple, however it is staffed by volunteer users, users like yourself, and we spend time responding to other's issues. And none of us can change things, only the forum moderators can, and they modified the title as it shows. It makes it easier for others to see things as we work through responding to other user questions. Feedback is the only place that Apple gets suggestions and comments. They read them all and forward them to the correct area of the company, but do not provide individual responses. We will see how it goes.

I noticed that you changed my tag from Accessibility to iPhone 16. I am not convinced this is related to the handset, and it is definitely an accessibility concern.

Interestingly, the very same icons work fine on white backgrounds under normal use.
