I've heard that if your apple device lies within the warranty, you can get a free cleaning at any apple authorized seller store or apple store itself. How true is that ?

If you are talking about storage, NEVER use a third-party apps that claims to clean, optimize, disinfect, or find your Mac a mate. All create more problems than they claim to cure. One was famous for failing to recognize important Mac system files as such. It erased them, creating a useless lump from a once-nice computer.
Your Mac takes good care of itself.
"Cleaning RAM" is easy on a Mac. Simply restart your computer every so often.
Never heard that before and it seems unlikely that it would even be offered.
