iPhone Not Appearing in Finder:
A. Verify the Connection:
First off, see if the iPhone is even seen:
- Hold Down: the Option key
- Click: the Apple menu
- Choose: System Information or System Report
- Select: Bluetooth and USB from the list on the left
- Look For: the iPhone
B. Boot Mac in Safe Mode:
Start your Mac in Safe Mode. In Safe Mode, login items do not open at login, and certain system settings are set aside. Go here: Start Up your Mac in Safe Mode - Apple Support
E. Single-Out this User:
Create and try a new Administrator user, seeing if you do not get this occur while logged into it. If so, then it is an issue with the configuration of the current user. If not, then it is an issue with the entire macOS, in which case you should reinstall the macOS. See below...
D. Reinstall the macOS:
Nothing would be deleted. It's just that items that have become corrupted or deleted, would be replaced or reinstalled back to where they should be. Go Here: How to reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery - Apple Support. Important: Be certain to create a backup of your Mac prior to performing the reinstall. That way, you can have something to restore from the Mac from, should anything go wrong with the reinstall. Once reinstalled, try this once more, seeing if you still get this error.
