I recorded some videos last night and when I went to the photo app to play them, the thumbnail and the video screen is black, but I can still hear the audio. Is there anyway to retrieve the actual video that I was recording?

Do you have a Mac where you could Air Drop them to and try to open with Quicktime Player, VOX or VLC?
I've heard of this occurring before but no obvious fix was mentioned that I remember.
After the hard reboot are you able to take a video and watch it correctly?
there are 7 videos taken within minutes of each other that are like this. I updated the phone, force-restarted about 20 times, and checked the iCloud website. I can hear the audio, but the screen is showing dark grey.
Also, is the screen black all the time or just when you're playing videos?
