i put the correct code (I know the number well )into my iphone passcode once or twice then it locked me out for 1minute the next time it locked me out for 15 minutes, I am currently locked out for eight hours.
Could anyone point me in the right direction please ? I don't have find my activated and I don't have itunes

When you enter the code, check what is typed as you type it, and confirm.
That can help you see if what you are entering is as expected, or if the display and digitizer might be failing.
Otherwise, reset it. You can use the iPhone itself to reset, or can use a Mac or PC.
This reset will not bypass Activation Lock.
