Purchasing Apple devices and AppleCare+ while traveling outside the US

I’m not sure if this is the form to post this, but I figured I’d start with my iPhone because it’s the most important device. I spend a significant amount of time traveling, while I am an American, I am not always in the United States. After spending seemingly more time in the last few months outside of the United States rather than inside, it’s occurred to me that there’s the possibility I could have one of my Apple devices that I rely on die, get lost, or stolen (I travel with an iPhone, an iPad, an Apple Watch, and multiple pairs of Apple earbuds). If that were to happen, what are my options if I replace that device(s) while I am out of the United States? Meaning, can I buy an iPhone and an Apple Store in Europe, add it to my Apple account and purchase AppleCare+ with it and have that work and be supported elsewhere?

Thanks!

I must not have been clear. I’m not asking if I can file a claim outside of the United States, I’m asking if I can replace a product outside of the United States, for example when I am in a European Union country, and add AppleCare to it how does that work? When I come back to United States is that AppleCare going to be valid in the States, or is Apple only going to support it in the country I purchased it in? For example, if I purchase a Canon camera in say Germany or România, Canon is only going to honor that warranty in that country, if I need service done when I am home in the United States Canon will simply ignore me. Is that what Apple is going to do or will Apple support me here as well? I’m just trying to make sure I have all my ducks in a row. I hope I never have to do this, but I can’t, for example, wait the 4 days that Apple says it could take them to replace a product. Those 4 days could easily be worth the full cost of the device if it were my iPhone that I rely on almost 24/7.

Generally, Apple will only replace a device under AppleCare+ with the exact same model as you purchased. If you buy a phone in the US, they won't have the same model in an EU Country. AppleCare+ and standard AppleCare applies to the country of purchase. There is no such thing as an international warranty or replacement with iPhone. So, if you buy your phone in the US and you are in Amsterdam for example, if you file a lost or stolen claim in Amsterdam, you'll have to file the claim in the US, when you get back to the US. In Amsterdam, they won't have access to the same model iPhone you purchased originally.

AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss coverage is available in select countries. It provides additional protection for your iPhone, covering theft and loss incidents in addition to accidental damage. iPhone Theft and Loss Claims - Official Apple Support

International claims

Apple Inc Says: "If your iPhone is lost or stolen while you are traveling, we can ship your replacement iPhone to you on the road. If you're overseas at the time, we can even ship a replacement to you in any country where Theft and Loss coverage is available. International replacement of lost or stolen devices is subject to device availability, and options may vary by region and iPhone model or color. It may take up to 4 business days after your claim is approved for your replacement iPhone to be delivered.

To use the Theft and Loss coverage, you must meet specific requirements, such as enabling Find My iPhone on your device at the time it is lost or stolen and filing a claim through Apple's approved process. There is also a deductible fee for replacement, which varies depending on the iPhone model and your region.
