iphone 15 battery health is rapidly draining

I have noticed that my battery health has began rapidly draining at a concerning rate. I have had the iphone 15 for 10 months, and for the first 6 or so months it was completely fine- on 100%, with maybe around 230 or so charge cycles. Then, it dropped to 99%. Okay, normal, no worry. but since then it began dropping every 2 weeks. 98,97,96... i read online that that is also still normal and it is catching up with the normal loss per month. However, now it has gotten to the point where it is dropping every few days. 2 days ago it went from 92 to 91. Now it is on 90%. I only have 303 charge cycles and i never overwork the phone. I treat it carefully and don't use apps that make it heat up too much. However, i suspect it may be my official apple charger, as whenever i use it to charge my phone, it overheats to the point where charging is paused due to temperature. Does this mean i have a faulty charger which is causing these problems with my battery health? Or am i doing something wrong with the way i am treating my phone?

If only battery health was exact, it would be easier to monitor it. But Battery Health decline is NOT linear, so it can remain steady for a while, then drop a few points all at once. While 90% health is slightly less than might be expected after 303 cycles, it is only a few points off, so not really a cause for concern. And it may remain at 90% for a while. It will be a long long time before your battery health dips to 80% and when that day comes, that's when you need to pay Apple to replace the battery and the battery health decline starts all over again.

To your concern about the charging being halted, NO, it's not your charger. This is a new feature, when you use a fast charger to charge your phone. What it's doing is rapidly charging up to 80%, then showing a message that charging has been paused until the phone cools. This too, is NOT a concern and your phone is doing what it's supposed to do.

The reality is you will drive yourself crazy monitoring battery health decline. Batteries, ALL batteries, lose some health every full cycle charge. It can't be stopped, so worrying about it isn't a good thing do worry about.

Things to do:

NEVER let the battery fully discharge - doing so can prematurely age the battery.
Avoid letting the battery go below 20% - same thing as above.
DO, plug your phone in to charge when you go to bed at night and leave it plugged in to charge ALL night, EVERY night, with optimized battery charging turned on as well as Wifi, so your phone can back up while you sleep.

actually, the 'feature' you just told me about after it reaches 80 percent is called optimised battery charging and i am fully aware of it and know all about it. im telling you that my phone is giving me a message that charging is on hold due to iPhone temperature with battery percentages such as 35. i understand that it can heat up due to charging quickly, but it is heating up to the point that it is nearly impossible to hold for more than 5 seconds or you feel pain. and sometimes when my phone is dying i am unable to continue to charge it due to the temperature of the phone, and this stays for sometimes half an hour, etc.
