iPhone 13 battery not charging after upgrading to iOS 18.6.2

My battery also died after this recent upgrade. It literally expanded. Phone was totally fine before that. At Apple Store they offered a new device for free (though my warranty expired long ago), so I guess Apple is well aware of that problem. I wonder if they are gonna speak up. So many complaints about 18.6.2.

Have you tried a different charger and cable? If yes, it is not going to help by telling us that the moderators changed the title of your post.

If no, try a different charger and cable.

If the same issue continues whatever has happened requires that you make an appointment at the Apple Store or take the phone to an authorized Apple service shop to let them run some diagnostic checks and tests on the battery.

I would try replacing the battery with an original one at an Apple center... the problem is probably the defective or dead battery.

Genuine battery on 0% health is totally borked. Three people told you that you need a new battery now!

Very unusual out of warranty, (unless in UK or EU) but the connection to the update is tenuous. Enjoy the free replacement, you were lucky.

Is this battery genuine? If it is a genuine battery and you still get this message there is serious hardware damage with your battery going on
