iOS 18 Safari – Some websites loading very slow or not at all

Hi everyone,

Since updating to iOS 18 on my iPhone 12 Pro, I’ve noticed another odd issue with Safari. Some websites load extremely slowly, while others time out completely.

For example:

  • https://www.reddit.com (loads but very slow)
  • https://capcuttemplate.net/ (often won’t load at all)

Meanwhile, sites like Google and Apple open instantly, so it doesn’t seem like a general internet speed issue.

Things I’ve already tried:

  • Clearing Safari history & cache
  • Disabling VPN/ad blocker
  • Testing on both Wi-Fi and mobile data

But the problem keeps happening.

Is this a known iOS 18 Safari bug? Or could it be something related to DNS or SSL certificates on certain websites? Would appreciate any insights 🙏

  • Disabling VPN/ad blocker

It is generally not sufficient to disable those things. Try uninstalling them.

The iPhone Operating System (iOS) is the most secure operating system on the market. Privacy is at the very core of all Apple products and services.

I would advise against installing anything that interferes with that.

Delete the VPN/Ad Blocker A.S.A.P.

Don’t be fooled by clever marketing advertisement tactics that rely on fear to sell you a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist.

All the best! 👋🏼😉
