Apple Watch Ultra 2 not turning on even after charging

Just unboxed my new ultra two and tried to begin to pair to my phone. It showed a charging icon that was white, so I placed it on the received charger that came with the watch and saw an icon of a charger with a red lightning bolt in the middle. No indication it’s charging. I have left it to charge for over a half an hour and will still not wake up. Watch is warm to touch not hot.
