Cannot reset password for Apple ID linked to debit card

I am unable to reset the password of my Apple ID. When I try to reset it, I get this error: “Cannot reset password – This Apple Account is either not valid or not supported.”


The email I tried a*********@icloud.com


I am not sure if this is the correct Apple ID or maybe I forgot the exact one.


I have used my debit card in the past for App Store / iCloud purchases and subscriptions, so I know I had an Apple ID linked to my card.


My questions are:


  1. How can I confirm the correct Apple ID that was linked with my debit card?
  2. Is there any way Apple can help me retrieve my Apple ID using my billing details (name, debit card last 4 digits, and billing address)?
  3. If the account is really deleted, is there any way to recover it?


I would really appreciate any guidance.

Hello,


For help with an invalid/not-active/not-supported account you need to contact Apple (the people on this board are users like yourself).


To reach Apple Support for an account issue:

1. Click here --> https://getsupport.apple.com/?caller=cups&PGF=PGF63005

2. Select: Disabled Apple ID

3. Select: ”The Apple ID is not active" alert

4. Select: “Continue”

5. Select a chat or telephone call option.

or:


Contact Apple for support and service by telephone --> Contact Apple Support - Apple Support


Note that an invalid ID is not the same as a disabled one.

Hello, thank you for your response.


I have already tried the steps you mentioned, but I am still not able to reset my Apple ID password. The system says: “This Apple Account is either not valid or not supported.”


I am not sure if I am entering the correct Apple ID. I have used my debit card for purchases and subscriptions with Apple in the past, so I know an Apple ID exists.


Also, this Apple ID is not signed in on any of my devices right now, so I cannot recover it from a device.


Can Apple Support please help me confirm the correct Apple ID using my name and debit card last 4 digits? I only need to know the right Apple ID email so that I can reset my password.
