Apple Watch Series 5 battery drains rapidly after using the Activity app

Why is my series 5 Apple Watch battery going from 100% to 10% in a matter of a few hours? This happens after using the activity app usually when I swimming in the pool or walking my dog.

Apple Watch battery draining unusually fast Hey everyone, I’ve noticed unusual battery drain on my Apple Watch and wanted to check if anyone else has faced this or knows why it might be happening. Today, my watch battery dropped from 100% to 15% in just about 5 hours. This is much faster than what I normally experience. I have attached a screenshot of the battery usage for reference. My watch battery health is 83% and I have been using it for almost 2.5 years. I know this level of drain is not expected at this battery health, so could there be some background activity, settings, or bug causing it? Any suggestions or similar experiences would really help.

Has the battery ever been replaced by Apple?

If the Battery Health is below 80%, it is time to get it replaced. I had to charge my old Series 5 twice a day at that point.

Using the Workout app will consume more battery life than just wearing the watch throughout the day.
