Re: My App Store is showing “cannot connect “ in a blank page

Your Apple Account is the account you use to access Apple services like the App Store, Apple Music, iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, and more. It includes the email address and password you use to sign in as well as the contact, payment, and security details you use across Apple services.

On your new iPhone:

You may want to check you are signed in to your Apple Account on your iPhone with the correct Apple ID:

Sign in to your Apple Account on the web or in your device settings - Apple Support

Seems Apple requires we have a payment method listed in our Apple Account for the first time we use the App Store or iTunes, even if we only intend to download free apps:

If needed: See what payment methods Apple can accept in your country or region:

and

How to Add an Apple Account Payment method:

If you still can not use the App Store:

See what to do: If you can't connect to the App Store, iTunes Store, or other Apple services - Apple Support

and

If you can’t download or update apps on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
