Missing 'Carrier Lock' information in iPhone 13 settings

so ive just bought my iphone 13 and its been used by the previous owner for like 2 yrs(?). i look up on the setting > general > about | and i find no "carrier lock" information, there's no carrier lock text under my EID or MEID. what does that mean? cause i found no answer about this like even the device is not restricted by any carrier there would be signs.

Since you purchased a used iPhone, there's no telling what the previous owner did to the phone. Under the EID number, should be a line which says "Carrier Lock" and it will either say it's locked or No Sim Restrictions. If you don't have that in your settings in General > About, you'll need to ask whoever you bought the phone from what they may have done to the phone. Buying used iPhones is risky at best.

There are versions of the iPhone 13 that do not support eSIM at all, so that is a possibility here.

Does the carrier have a store reasonably close to where you live? You really need to take the phone in to the carrier's store for assistance rather than trying things over another phone or an online site.
