I would first try opening your iCloud home page and seeing if the message shows there. Older Apple-issued addresses like .mac, .me, and even earthlink usually stay linked through iCloud and may show up there.
Sign in and use iCloud.com - Apple Support
Beyond that, you may have to ask the sender to try your current address.
