Wifi is crashing every few minutes

My Wi-Fi connection keeps crashing.

I’ve tried:

  • Rebooting the router
  • Going to a café to use other Wi-Fi
  • Restarting the computer
  • Updating the system
  • Forgetting the Wi-Fi network and reconnecting
  • My gf MacBook Pro works perfectly

The worst part is that it happens randomly. For example, when I ran troubleshooting it suddenly worked perfectly, but the next day it started crashing again.

I don't use any other external applications

As my colleague @BDAqua has suggested

To provide some background on this application

At one time there was an  Etrecheck Application available on the Apple Apps Store.

Due to certain constrains place upon the Developer by APPLE, the developer chose to remove it from the Store and make is available Directly from them.

This specific application is well known,  on these Forums,  as a Go To for trouble shooting and avoiding all the question / answer and question / answer to finally get the issue pinned down.

It is also known and reported by Reliable Sources that,  sometimes APPLE SUPPORT has invoked using this same Developer Distributed Version of Etrecheck application to trouble shot computer issues

The Report will Not Reveal Any Personal Information.

Thank you for your reply.
While waiting for help I decided to reset my Mac and for the first day, I thought it helped, but unfortunately it didn't solve the issue and the next day everything started over.

Please see attached report, hope it will help.
<report from etrecheck.log>

I am not seeing anything in the report that would cause the Wifi issue you outlined

Actually, this is one of the most clean installation I have seen, apart from my own computers ( 3 )

Perhaps the wording Wifi Crashing is bit misleading

Wifi connections disconnecting for not apparent reasons might be more accurate ?

When connecting to a Wifi Signal

Do you have Control Over the Wifi Access Points / Routers ?

Got it thanks.

I'm traveling, so all my wifi is restaurant\hotel and public once. Maybe it's the reason. When I'll get back home will check with apple

Ah, traveling

Yes, Wifi signals we do not have control over can be problematic

Especially if the Access Point / Router is over taxed by many others also using the same Wifi at the same time

Or configured to broadcast the signal is some older Protocols

Once back home ( enjoy the travel )

Yes do test and see if things improve

  • WPA/WPA2 mixed modes
  • WPA Personal
  • WEP, including WEP Open, WEP Shared, WEP Transitional Security Network, or Dynamic WEP (WEP with 802.1X)
