Mistakenly removed stolen iPhone from my Apple ID

After the theft 3 days ago, I marked the device as lost using Find My iPhone. However, today I accidentally removed it from my list of devices in my Apple ID. I am very worried because I understand this action may have disabled Activation Lock.

My i phone has been stolen My iPhone 15 pro max was stolen last week, and I immediately marked it as lost in Find My. Shortly after, the device was turned off. The next day, the thief turned it on briefly before shutting it down again. Now, I’ve noticed that the status of my lost iPhone in Find My has changed to: ”Will be removed on 20 November 2025.” What does this mean? Does it indicate that someone is attempting to bypass Activation Lock or use the device in some way? I want to ensure that my iPhone remains secure and inaccessible to unauthorized users. Please my account should be not active till I don't find my i phone by the police Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Yes you disabled the Activation Lock and the thief can set up your phone as their own. There is no Undo and you cannot remotely turn Activation Lock back on for that device. The good news is that your data is safe, and the device would need to be wiped before it could be used again.
