Video playback error for in-lab coursework on iPhone and iPad

I tried playing an in-lab course video that I have to toggle between.. it gives me instructions and I follow through on a dummy section of the page.. the video that gives the instructions for the course work says “media could not be loaded either because the network or server failed or the format is not supported”

I tried this on my iPhone and on an iPad at work.. exhausted all my options of trying to fix it on both safari and chrome. Help please !

Without knowing details such as the video format, its source, your ISP, network conditions local, distant, or in between... an answer simply is not possible.

For now review If Safari isn't loading websites or quits on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. For example, it would not be unusual for an institution to be using a VPN. Perhaps their network administrator / IT "expert" / etc is preventing that content from loading.

You did more than enough troubleshooting that could be expected of anyone. From all appearances and from everything you have been able to determine, whatever server hosting that video content or the communications link between you and it is just broken.

i use my network provider’s data away from work and wi-fi at home and it still did not load. I work at a hotel so I was able to log on to the guests’ wi-Fi to access the site and I’m still experiencing issues.

i was actually on my way to work when I noticed it so I said I’d try it on the iPad at work (the iPad isn’t set to the network and I’m restricted in what I can access on work PCs). I’m not exactly sure of the video’s format but it’s from one of the courses that coursera offers,
