Why is the Amazon app video not playing on my iPad?

I cannot get product videos to play while using the Amazon app on my iPad. I get a CS2 error code. I have deleted the app, powered down my iPad, restarted in, reloaded the app and it still doesn’t work.


I review the same product on my iPhone 15 and the video plays just fine. Why won’t it play on my iPad.


Both devices are up to date and using the latest IO software.

It’s an Apple iOS 18.1.1 update problem. I tried it on my grandsons iPad using iOS 17.7.2 and Amazon product videos worked. I updated that same iPad to 18.1.1 and videos now do not work. I’ve tried removing the app, and re-installing it, and to no avail. The issue is with the latest iOS update. My wife’s newest iPhone 3 months old is running iOS 17.7.2 and videos work fine. This problem does not exist on android. My cell phone is the latest Samsung S24 Ultra and videos work fine with the new android update. Update: I have 4 iPads in my home, all worked before updating to 18.1.1 iOS. I tested 2 of the devices as proof.


Update #2 Connect your device to apple iTunes on a computer and downgrade the iOS to the previous version. Amazon videos will work fine again. There are instructions on this process in other forums. Have a great holiday!

Amazon has updated their Video Prime app 18 times in the last 2 months, since iOS 18 released. That a new release every 3 days a new version and every release says bug fixes. Have you read any of the reviews? Amazon doesn’t really care or they’d really fix their app and provide the service Prime users pay for.


Im saying this as a former long time Prime subscriber. I got feed up with their services, poor customer experience, price increases and moved on.


My personal experience says keep downloading their new bug fixed app every 3 days or move on and find a better service. Your mileage may vary.
