Did not check option to enable allow computer accounts password to be reset by Apple ID - can I reenable it?

when first booting up my MacBook Pro I did not select the option to allow computer accounts to be reset by Apple ID.

is there a way I can reenable this option without having to reformat the laptop? I didn't have access to my Apple ID but now I do.

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 15.6

figured it out - answer is yes - after signing into Apple ID and the iCloud and turning on password backup option - the option came up under the i on the users and groups admin account that I created when setting up - leaving this up for anyone - hope it helps - peace
