Got charged for purchase, but its not in history and I didn’t get the service

I bought something for a game, and the charge went through on my card, but not only is it not showing up on my purchase history, I didn’t even get what I bought.

iPhone SE, iOS 16

Follow the steps mentioned in this article to request a refund from Apple:

You might have to contact the developer of your app about that, as explained in this article:

How to see what you've been charged for

  • To see your purchase history, go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Sign in with your Apple ID.
  • A list of purchases will appear. To see family members' purchases, select the Apple ID button and choose a family member.
  • To see the full receipt, including tax, tap or click the date.

  1. App Purchase
    1. Curious about a Charge? --> If you see an 'itunes.com/bill' or an unfamiliar charge on your statement
    2. If you have an issue with an app on the App Store or billing --> Request a refund for an App Store or iTunes Store
  2. Subscriptions
    1. You may view a subscription to an app --> See or cancel your subscriptions - Apple Support
    2. You can also request a refund for a recent renewal of an in-app subscription purchase

Are you part of a Family Sharing group? If so, and if you have purchase sharing enabled, it’s possible that another family member may have bought something. With Family Sharing, any purchases made by one member—whether it’s an app, music, or subscription—can show up as if they’re linked to your account. You might want to check with your family members or review your purchase history to confirm if that’s the case.
