Unable to open a fresh note when opening Notes app via shortcut method

In my MacBook, if I drag the mouse pointer to the bottom right side I can quickly open a Note a write stuff down. Once I'm done with it and closes the window and now wants to quickly write a second note I am unable to do so because if I now drag my mouse pointer to the bottom right side, I cannot open a new note rather re-open the previous one.

Steps to Reproduce :

  1. Make sure your note app is closed
  2. Now drag your mouse pointer to the bottom right side of the screen
  3. Open the Note
  4. Write anything
  5. Close the note app (window and also from the app tray)
  6. Now again drag your mouse to the bottom right side of the screen
  7. Open the Note
  8. It re-opens the previous note rather than opening a new note.

Expected Outcome: We should be able to open a new note once the window of the previous note is closed using the quick note open functionality.

To always create a new Quick Note (instead of opening the previous one), choose Notes > Settings, then deselect “Always resume to last Quick Note.”
