ACMI purchase for new iPhone with Mint

Hi all, I saw a few old posts regarding successfully activating iPhone purchased through ACMI with selected carriers, so I am wondering if this is still the case: if I purchase the new iPhone coming out this week(next week), I would still be able to activate it even if I do not have an open line with the carrier selected during the purchase? I am using Mint right now. Thank you!

No one knows until they release on September 19 (next Friday). What happened last year is not necessarily an indication of future potential changes.
