iPad cannot sign in to Apple account after updating to 18.6.2.

Every time I sign in to Apple account (or iCloud) on my iPad Air 4, an error popup appears with the following message:

Verification failed.

Your identity couldn't be verified.

Check your internet connection

A few things to try:

Reset network settings. Settings >General >transfer or reset>reset>reset network settings

Delete any VPN or security apps

Try logging in on the website

If all that fails Contact Apple Support
