Whether your local DNS is compromised and the reference went elsewhere, nobody here knows.

The domain diagnostics.apple.com is a website that folks with the appropriate access to Apple’s AST2 can use for diagnostics.

The domain www.diagnostics.apple.com does not appear to be in use.
