Face ID not working on my iPhone with error after iOS 26 update

My FaceID didn't get fixed even with the latest iOS 26 update. The problem persists since iOS 18.1, before that FaceID was working correctly. When I try to configure FaceID it says: "Your face is out of view" even though I'm within the brackets.

It's been almost a year and none of the updates fixed it. I have literally tried every suggestion/tutorial/what not on the Internet but to no avail. I genuinely hoped that iOS 26 would fix the problem.

I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Does anyone else has this problem maybe after updating to iOS 26?

If your Face ID isn't working, you should contact Apple and have them evaluate the phone.

If you followed the links that Idris provided some time back when it first stopped working instead of expecting an iOS update to fix it, you would have seen Apple a long time ago and they probably would have told you that there was a problem with the Face ID camera. If the device is less than 1-year old, which is going to be close, then it could still be under warranty. Make a Genius Bar appointment to have it looked at. You do not really know that it was caused by the iOS update or occurred when you updated. Either way, you never should have waited that long expecting an update to fix it. If the first update didn't do it, then it wasn't the update that caused it, because if it was the update that caused the issue, a fix would have been released.

Yes I know that too, but since the problem occurred from an iOS update I hope it would be another update to fix it.
