Missing 'Tap recent calls' option on iPhone SE 3 in iOS 26

Shouting in all caps is considered rude in internet speak. I don't ever recall a Recents button in Settings > Apps > Phone. The recents list is and from my memory, always has been in the Phone app itself.

That option is only available if you’re using the new Unified view in the Phone app. That view combines the Recents tab and Voicemail tab. You can change the view in the Phone app.

I mistyped. I have iOS 26, not iOS 16. That said, subz1987 post above is correct. That button won't appear in your Phone Settings, unless you use Unified View. I prefer the list view, so that button isn't on my phone. But I did verify it's there if you use Unified View.

Try this you'll find your call history by opening the Phone app and selecting the Recents tab at the bottom of the screen. To customize behavior, go to Settings > Phone and explore options like Call Blocking & Identification or Blocked Contacts.  

I have two iPhones (iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max), both updated to iOS 16 and there is no Tap Recents to Call in Settings > Apps > Phone. Why would anyone need to go to Settings > App > Phone and then look for your recents list, when recents are conveniently located in the Phone App?

Open the Phone App. Tap the circle at the top right hand corner, which looks like a list. Tap Classic. You'll now see recents on the bottom row as you did before.
