AK HC2 Not Working with Type-C to Lightning OTG Adapter on iPhone

The Astell&Kern AK USB-C Dual DAC Amplifier Cable (AK HC2) doesn’t work when connected via a Type-C to Lightning OTG adapter on an iPhone. I tried connecting in the correct order (adapter to iPhone, then AK HC2 to adapter, headphones to 4.4mm jack), but there’s no sound, and the DAC’s LED doesn’t light up or blinks. It might be due to an incompatible or non-official adapter.

Need advice on a suitable adapter or how to fix it.

if it expect to be able to draw power to the dac then that is likely why, iphones can't really provide much current out of their charging port

maybe a ac powered usb hub could help, though if it was me then I would try to reach out to the dac manufacturer to verify if it would ever support an iphone

It actually supports iPhone, but when I plug it in, it doesn't recognize it.
